Avantone Pro GTR-100 – 100-Watt, 2-Channel, Rack-Mountable Solid-State Guitar Amplifier with Stereo/Dual-Mono Operation, Four-Band EQ, and XLR Direct Outputs
OVERVIEW
Studio-Grade Power for the Stage.
The GTR-100 by Avantone Pro is a 2-channel class A/B power amp designed for modern guitarists who rely on guitar modellers like AxeFX or Quad Cortex to shape their sound. Its solid-state design ensures that your tones ring true, and with up to 140 watts of power per side – or 245w in bridged mono mode – it can make ears ring as well. Switchable Line/Instrument inputs let you connect either your modeller or stompboxes directly with perfectly matched impedance.
The clean amplification GTR-100 provides won’t add unwanted noise or distortion to your carefully crafted tones, even when pushed to earsplitting volumes, and comes with none of the maintenance hassle or cumbersome weight of tube amplifiers.
You can even use the channels as two independent amps if you’ve got two guitarists in your band, making the GTR-100 a perfect solution for an all-in-one road rack.
The Features You Need; the Power You Want.
The GTR-100’s stereo ins and outs let you bring your stereo modulation and delay effects to the live arena, while its switchable 4-band EQ grants nuanced tone-shaping to suit whatever room you’re playing in this weekend. The XLR Thru outputs allow you to split your outputs to a mixing desk or recording device for reinforcement or recording of your performance – no cabinet mic required. A switchable per-channel analog cabinet simulation emulates the sound of a miked 4×12 cabinet, and sends this processed signal to the XLR outs.
Perfectly balance your output levels with independent level controls and 14-stage input/output metering.
Road-Ready Reliability
The GTR-100 is ruggedly built for the road, while weighing far less than your average tube amp. Its sturdy metal handles extend well past the extrusion of the control knobs, ensuring that they won’t get damaged in the event the amp takes a tumble. The protect indicator lights to warn youof any conditions that could lead to damage to the amp or connected speakers, while the whisper-quiet cooling fan ensures overheating will never be a problem. Its rear-mounted rack rails make cable management a breeze when racked.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
100W Per Channel Class A/B Power
The GTR-100 delivers 100W per channel into 8Ω, 140W per channel into 4Ω, or an impressive 245W in bridged mono mode, providing powerful, clean amplification for the stage or studio.
Designed for Modern Guitar Modellers
Optimised for guitar modellers such as Axe-FX and Quad Cortex, the GTR-100 provides clean, reliable amplification that lets carefully crafted tones come through with accuracy and impact.
Stereo or Dual-Mono Operation
The two-channel architecture provides genuine stereo operation for spacious modulation and delay effects, while also allowing the channels to function independently for dual-guitarist or dual-amp setups.
Switchable Line & Instrument Inputs
Switchable Line/Instrument inputs allow you to connect guitar modellers or stompboxes directly, with appropriately matched input sensitivity and impedance for each application.
Four-Band EQ Per Channel
The switchable four-band EQ provides practical tone-shaping control, allowing you to fine-tune your sound to suit different guitars, rigs, venues and acoustic environments.
XLR Direct Outputs with Cabinet Simulation
XLR Thru outputs make it easy to send your signal directly to a mixing console or recording system. Switchable analogue cabinet simulation can emulate the character of a miked 4×12 cabinet without requiring a microphone.
Compact 1U Rack-Mountable Design
The rugged 1U enclosure provides a space-efficient solution for building a professional guitar rack while being considerably lighter and easier to transport than a typical tube power amplifier.
Independent Level Controls & Metering
Independent channel level controls make it easy to balance your outputs, while 14-stage input/output metering provides useful visual monitoring of signal levels during performance and setup.
Road-Ready Construction
Built for demanding live use, the GTR-100 features a rugged metal chassis and protective front handles that extend beyond the control knobs to help safeguard the controls during transport.
Quiet & Reliable Cooling
A whisper-quiet cooling fan helps maintain reliable operating temperatures, while the front-panel protect indicator provides a warning when conditions could potentially affect the amplifier or connected speakers.
