Telegrapher CARBON FOX – Active Analog 2-Way Nearfield Studio Monitor – Matte (Pair)
OVERVIEW
The Telegrapher CARBON FOX is a compact analog, active two-way nearfield monitor that delivers exceptional accuracy for detailed mixing applications and surprisingly powerful low end for a speaker of its size.
CARBON FOX is a refined evolution of the original FOX, re-engineered with a fully carbon-fibre enclosure using (CLD) constrained-layer damping technology.
Designed for audio professionals, CARBON FOX offers rich and organic analog warmth, dedicated drivers with built-in amplifiers, and a sealed enclosure for clean, precise sound with exceptional transient response. Small but mighty, CARBON FOX is an ideal monitor for critical listening and mixing in smaller studio environments, live sound, professional home studios and more.

“The world’s first fully carbon-fibre enclosure studio monitor.”
CARBON FOX features dedicated drivers that are specially designed to accurately reproduce mid and high frequencies, ensuring detailed and coherent reproduction across the audio spectrum and enabling precise adjustments in mixing and mastering environments. Each driver features a dedicated built-in amplifier that’s been precisely calibrated to the driver’s frequency range to enhance efficiency and deliver superior control over audio output.
The sealed enclosure contributes to an impressive transient response and the ability for CARBON FOX to reproduce audio signals with high fidelity and minimal phase distortion. The result is clean, accurate sound that’s particularly beneficial for critical listening and detailed audio work. The sealed enclosure also enhances CARBON FOX’s ability to deliver tight, precise bass and a balanced soundstage, essential for precise spatial imaging and depth perception in audio mixes.
CARBON FOX offers an all-analog design that provides warm, rich sound, ensuring that audio retains its natural qualities to deliver a rich, musical, and engaging listening experience.

This new construction delivers a %30 reduction in weight, while preserving the precise, uncompromised sound FOX is known for.
Available in two finishes: matte and glossy. The matte finish offers a subtle, understated appearance with a technical, studio-focused character, while the glossy finish highlights the carbon-fibre structure with a more expressive, high-contrast look.

THE STORY BEHIND
The CARBON FOX came from real use on the road. FOH engineer Marc Carolan (Sound Engineer, Mixer, Producer – Muse, Snow Patrol) has been using his FOX monitors on world tours to tune PA systems before concerts and wanted something even more rigid and solid.
This request led to the CARBON FOX: the same reference, rebuilt with a fully carbon-fibre enclosure for greater rigidity and stability, designed for demanding conditions.

OPTIONAL GRILLE
CARBON FOX can also be fitted with an optional protective grille.
Acoustically, the grille is designed to stay out of the way. Its high open-area perforation allows sound to pass through freely without being filtered, preserving the speaker’s natural balance, clarity, and transient response.
The grille provides protection without imposing a sonic character of its own, keeping the sound open, direct, and unchanged.
