The Roswell Pro Audio RM8 matched pair is a stereo pair of large-diaphragm condenser microphones designed specifically for capturing the ambience, power, and spatial depth of drum room recordings. Each RM8 microphone features a custom-tuned 34mm large-diaphragm capsule paired with a low-noise, neutrally voiced circuit that delivers fast transient response and exceptional detail. Because drum room tracks are often heavily compressed in modern productions, Roswell designed the RM8 with extremely low circuit distortion, ensuring the microphones retain clarity and fidelity even under aggressive processing.
The matched pair configuration allows engineers to capture highly accurate stereo room recordings. With switchable Cardioid and Figure-8 polar patterns, the RM8 pair supports a wide range of professional stereo recording techniques, including XY, AB, ORTF, Mid-Side, and Blumlein.
