TK Audio TK-lizer 3: A Musical Mastering EQ Built for Precision & Mid/Side Control
Classic Baxandall Tone Meets Modern Mastering
When it comes to mastering and mix bus equalisation, subtle adjustments often make the biggest impact. A great EQ should enhance clarity, depth, and balance without sounding forced or unnatural. That’s exactly what the TK Audio TK-lizer 3 delivers.
Built around the legendary Baxandall circuit, the TK-lizer 3 combines the smooth, musical character that engineers have trusted for decades with modern features designed for today’s mastering and hybrid mixing workflows.

The Baxandall Sound Engineers Love
The foundation of the TK-lizer 3 is the classic Baxandall EQ topology, renowned since the 1950s for its exceptionally natural and transparent sound.
Rather than making aggressive corrective changes, the Baxandall design excels at broad, musical tonal shaping that enhances a mix while preserving its integrity. Whether adding warmth to the low end, refining the midrange, or introducing a touch of openness to the high frequencies, the TK-lizer 3 delivers results that sound effortless and balanced.

Three Bands of Musical Equalisation
The TK-lizer 3 provides dedicated low, mid, and high frequency bands, giving engineers precise control across the entire frequency spectrum.
The low and high bands can each operate as either shelving or peak filters, while the dedicated mid band offers focused control over critical frequencies that shape vocals, guitars, keyboards, drums, and countless other sources. A comprehensive twelve-position high-pass filter further enhances flexibility by allowing unwanted low-frequency rumble and build-up to be removed without compromising musicality.
Combined with fully stepped controls throughout, every adjustment is both precise and easily repeatable.

Powerful Mid/Side Processing
One of the TK-lizer 3‘s greatest strengths is its integrated Mid/Side processing.
Without requiring an external encoder or decoder, engineers can independently process the centre and side information of a stereo mix. This opens a wide range of creative possibilities – from adding air and width to the stereo image, to tightening low-frequency focus by filtering bass from the side channel, or enhancing centrally positioned elements such as vocals, kick drum, bass, and snare.
Dedicated cue monitoring also allows independent auditioning of the Left, Right, Mid, or Side channels, providing greater confidence when making critical mastering decisions.

Updated for the Modern Studio
The third-generation TK-lizer introduces significant improvements both inside and out.
New input and output circuitry, enhanced EQ performance, and an updated Mid/Side circuit provide even better low-end response, smoother high frequencies, and improved channel separation compared to previous versions. Vintage-inspired bakelite knobs and toggle switches complete the refreshed design while delivering a premium tactile experience.

Designed for Professional Recall
Every control on the TK-lizer 3 is stepped, allowing settings to be recalled with speed and accuracy—an essential requirement for professional mastering work.
Combined with electronically balanced circuitry, exceptionally low distortion, wide bandwidth, excellent dynamic range, and the absence of electrolytic capacitors in the audio path, the TK-lizer 3 is engineered to deliver transparent, reliable analogue performance for years of demanding studio use.
Elevate Your Mixes with Confidence
Whether you’re mastering a finished production or adding the final polish across your stereo bus, the TK Audio TK-lizer 3 provides the musical precision, flexibility, and analogue character that discerning engineers expect.
By combining classic Baxandall equalisation with comprehensive Mid/Side processing, stepped controls, and updated analogue circuitry, the TK-lizer 3 delivers professional results while preserving the natural emotion and balance of every mix.
