Develops and manufactures synths like the Waldorf Blofeld, 2 Pole, Pulse 2, Rocket, Streichfett String Synthesizer and the stage piano Waldorf Zarenbourg.
The German company Waldorf takes the concept of digital modeling of classic analog synthesizers to an extreme level. Both their hardware synthesizers and their virtual instruments capitalize on Waldorf’s love for the sound and knob-tweaking accessibility of vintage analog synths, but they do not sound like any particularly recognizable retro manufacturer’s products. Another unique aspect to Waldorf is their devotion to putting the accessibility of analog synthesizers in touch with the convenience of DAW recording. Each of their products is designed to work with DAWs, either as virtual instruments, or through USB integration. The result is that you get the best of both analog and digital technology with Waldorf’s synthesizers.
